This is what it is like down Preston New Road
It will be shown on 24th February at 7pm
Hope you can make this screening; Marianne Birkby from radiation free Lakeland will be talking about Moorside, Drigg and the risks of fracking near nuclear developments.
The anti nuclear campaign is very important; we could end up with the worlds biggest nuclear development on our doorstep, with the worlds biggest nuclear waste deposits and the largest processing facilities as well as the world’s biggest terrorist target.
Dozens of Anti Fracking campaigners unite at the Spirit of Sport roundabout to protest about Horwich based company A E Yates taking part in building a fracking platform at the controversial Preston new road fracking site in little Plumpton, Lancashire.READ MORE
Everyone can do their bit to stop fracking by boycotting all subcontractors prepared to help make it happen and take Cuadrilla or site manager AE Yates’ dirty £££s… see the regularly updated list for details: https://docs.google.com/…/11quq4LREfdm7meFDlLyxu306NO…/edit…
Please share, particularly those in the building trade. I know people need to work and earn enough to live, but this affects EVERYONE… in order to make fracking economically viable it has been calculated 33,000 wells would have to be drilled across northern England. Company bosses helping to facilitate this could take a stand on behalf of everyone, including their own interests.
These companies could make history for the right reasons – by taking a stand against fracking rather than laying its foundations.

People living around Cuadrilla’s shale gas site at Preston New Road near Blackpool say they are horrified to learn that there has been no independent testing for the radioactive gas, radon.
The British Geological Survey (BGS) has been surveying water and air quality, greenhouse gases, seismicity, ground motion and carbon dioxide in soil around the site at Little Plumpton (details).
But the organisation confirmed to DrillOrDrop that there has been no monitoring of radon in the air or homes, before operations begin at Preston New Road. It also said it was not aware of any radon monitoring in the area by other organisations. Continue reading “Residents feel betrayed over failure to test for radon around Lancashire fracking site”
